Anchor is a personal voice-support system for people living with Alzheimer's.
Anchor is designed to be simple when everything else feels difficult.
If you have been diagnosed
Talk about your family and friends, the places you have called home, the work and interests that shaped you, your routines, favourite music and the stories people know you by.
If someone you love has Alzheimer's
Share the people, places, routines, music, memories and familiar stories that make them who they are. Add messages in your own voice for moments when you cannot be there.
What makes us who we are can remain, even when memory begins to fade.
When the person moves, Anchor follows.
Anchor Home
Every afternoon, Ingrid looks for her coat.
“I have to pick Anna up from school.”
Anna is forty-three now.
“Anna is safe. She's coming for dinner at six.”
Then Anchor plays the song Ingrid used to sing on their walk home.
Anchor Care
A new shift begins.
Anchor shares what matters today: Ingrid often looks for her coat around four and asks to collect Anna from school. The walking song usually helps.
“Hello Ingrid. Anna is safe and coming soon. Shall we listen to your walking song? Play the song, Anchor”
The caregiver is new. The understanding is not.
Sometimes the truth helps.
Sometimes reassurance matters more.
Sometimes a familiar voice, song or memory can reach them when words cannot.
Anchor learns which personal response helps and brings it into the moment it is needed.
Built on decades of Alzheimer's research and dementia care methods.
Anchor only uses what the person and the people they trust choose to share.
The person and family remain in control of what care staff can access.
